Workforce Workforce Program

Employment & Education

Finding meaningful employment or continuing an education can be challenging after justice system involvement. Project Kinship helps participants navigate those challenges with personalized support, practical resources, and connections to opportunities that align with their goals.

Our team works alongside participants to strengthen employment readiness, explore education and career pathways, and address the barriers that can make it difficult to move forward.

Support may include:

  • Employment readiness and career planning
  • Resume and interview preparation
  • Job search support and employer connections
  • Education and training enrollment
  • GED and credential pathways
  • Financial aid navigation
  • Transportation assistance
  • Basic needs support, including food, clothing, and hygiene items
  • Referrals to mental health and recovery services
  • Legal advocacy and expungement resources
  • Support navigating probation, housing, and other systems
  • Ongoing mentoring and individualized guidance

We also work with employers and educational institutions to encourage fair-chance hiring and more inclusive opportunities for individuals impacted by the justice system.

Opportunity is more than getting a job—it is having the support, skills, and confidence to build a future that lasts.
